Adam and I love exploring the East Coast and sharing it with you on Stray With Me. While planning Stray With Me‘s next trip, I wanted it to be somewhere new and exciting for the both of us. This was a no-brainer – Vermont! My prior knowledge of Vermont was Cabot Cheese (which is delicious and animal-enzyme free) and maple syrup. Go figure, everything I knew about Vermont revolved around food 😛
In all honesty, Vermont was ok. The views are INCREDIBLE, but the entertainment and food was far and few between; at one point we ended up in New York trying to find food 😛 . The never ending views, however, totally make up for it. There’s mountains, rivers, covered bridges, cows, and quaint little towns. Check out the pics below and see for yourself!
Do I think Vermont is for everyone? Probably not. It requires long-distance driving (which we love) and a creative mind to make the trip worthwhile. Lucky for you, we spent nearly 16 hours driving around and finding spots for you to check out. My favorite part of all the driving was passing through small towns that offer local goods and and a glimpse into Vermont culture. If you’re planning a day trip to Vermont, I suggest having a reliable car, an upbeat playlist, and some serious snackage packed. Have your camera ready for the views and be sure to stop on the side of the road to venture into rivers, etc.
